10,000 Pounds And Counting
Wow! This past 12 months has been a roller coaster. Hard to comprehend all the changes we had to shift to stay on top of what was happening. The 2020 pandemic turned our norm as we knew it upside down.
One Silver lining in all of this is the amount of people who were forced to work from home and then decided a house was not a home without a furry friend . The amount of adoptions and foster families went up.
Shelters, across the country, were actually low on choices of cats and dogs for people to adopt.
As an essential business, we were and are grateful to be open to continue to serve our community so our animals can eat healthy. We thank all of you who support local and support us. We are grateful every day.
We also understand that others may not have been so fortunate. As some continued to work, others were laid off and were struggling to feed themselves and their animals. Local rescue groups and shelters started drive up pet food pantries. We had to help. We wanted everyone to have the chance to keep their animals with them even if they were homeless.
Since last March we have donated upwards of 10,000 pounds of cat and dog food. We will continue to support the efforts of local groups to feed animals in need.
We couldn’t do it if we didn’t have the support of our community. Again, thank you for all you do in caring about the well being of our furry companions and supporting our store. You make it happen.
Cheers to a brighter, newer looking future.
Alexis & Alyssa
WE thank all the rescues and shelters who do what they do and we especially thank our staff who have been such an awesome team to work with during this crazy time.
